my vectra temp guage is at 80, if i rev it up to 4/5k revs then the temp does go up to 90, 100, except when i let it go it goes back down to 80 degrees, i take it this is probably a stuck thermostat valve?? cant imagine it being the temp sensor as the temp is going up n down,

Vectra DRL(daytime running lights) queston
Hi all,
I have a 2007 Vectra 1.9 150 Design and have been looking at DRL.
From what ive read on Google apparently some have them and you just need to insert a fuse into F37 or something, is this correct?
And what are my options if not - I want an original look and no extra switches on the dash etc?

Opcom Xenon option
Evening all. I've got aftermarket HID's fitted to my Vec C and they are superb. However when I switch them on, the power surge on initial start up sometimes does funny things to the ECU. random dash lights, or loss of gears in the autobox. Restarting the car sorts it out every time. If I changed the settings using opcom to say that xenons were present, would it cure the problem?? Many thanks.

Recirc & blower
Hi,
Another Vectra C blower post.
Good news though - the fan works on all speeds/temperatures and with air con.
The bad news is the recirc light now doesn't work and the blower makes a noise like a pheasant is stuck inside. I've cleared the pollen filter area of any leaves etc but the noise remains and the recirc light doesn't work.
So what's up with the blower and what's up with the recirc, any ideas?
Recirc fuse if there is one?
Something stuck in the blower vents??

Starting problem
Hi there,
Long time viewer, first time poster. I've had ongoing problems with my 54 1.9cdti 8v. It started a while back where the car wouldn't start due to the immobiliser light coming up on the dash. Couple of turns and this would resolve itself. I tried both keys and it was the same. Then it started doing the same thing without the immobiliser warning light coming up. I thought that it was the same thing so to test I took the electronics off the key and sure enough the immobiliser warning...

Hi all. the problem im having is the engine management light came on a few weeks ago putting the car in limp mode. so far i have cleaned all the swirl flaps and chambers changed the egr valve. mass air flow throttle body with both sensors renewed all pipes leek off and air vacuum checked all turbo pipes and there all good, ive had it vacuum tested and turbo tested and was spot on but its still got the light on and loses power, the car is fine when cold but as soon as it warms up its in limp...

2.2dti boost problems..
I have a Vectra B 2.2dti sri 130. Drives okay, few wee knocks round front end I haven't found yet but getting there.
Main problem is boost. When I put my foot down it boosts, then drops off boost, then back on boost.
Now My da has a 2.2tid saab 9-5 estate(basically same engine) and it would leave the vectra for dead on straight line pull, boosts alot smoother and is quite a bit faster all round, and for a heavier car it shouldn't really be lol.
The egr valve is clean and seems to be working...

Bluetooth Interference
New to all this.
Can anyone help me I have a Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI VX Line, for some reason when using my built in Bluetooth the person on the other end of the conversation can constantly hear interference when driving but when I come to standstill the interference stops.

I bought an op com a while ago. Before hand it didn't delete the faults but after I did an update to newer software (I can provide link if you want) I was able to change the programming side of things and clear codes no problem. Now I was just mucking around with it today and noticed that after I changed the settings for DRL to present (Daytime running lights) after that and a few other things my fog lights are now permanently on. I turn the car off and they stay on. I turn...

Remove Rear Wiper Arm
Hi guys,
I'm trying to remove the rear wiper arm on my 07 Vectra, but after unclipping the cover and taking the nut off, it just won't budge. I'm guessing it's seized on somehow, and I've even tried to 'gently' prise it off with a claw hammer. Is there a way to get it off easily? All the videos and posts I've seen show/imply that it just slides off when you take the nut off.
The problem I'm having is that the rear wiper no longer works, so I am trying to change the motor.

2.5, V6 (X25XE) Flat spots when warm
Hi Folks...My 2000, Vectra B, 2.5, V6, CDX, Manual, Hatchback for the past few months has developed a flat spot when warm and is "Lumpy" when accelerating. When the engine is cold it starts first time and runs smooth.
Have replaced the plugs, fuel and air filters, and fitted new Magnecor plug leads, Coil pack was replaced about 18 months ago (Genuine new Bosch). The car has done 97K miles and the engine does not use any oil and the oil comes out clean at service time.
To my mind, it feels like...
