hi guys bought a 2009 insignia (120,00 miles with FSH), after around 3 months a code came up on dash turns out my coolant was low, topped it up no problem but 6 weeks later i decided to check again and its low again, i found it uses around half to 1 litre per month but with no leak i can find. got it pressure tested to around 1 bar by a friend but lost vert little pressure or a negligible amount. It has me baffled . Worst fear is obvious head gasket , would this show up on pressure test of...

See on my 1.9cdti sri Is it jus a simple job of taking out cd30 and screen and replacing with cd70 unit and screen?

I mean is the screen and unit the same size?

Hi guys new to forum would appreciate some insight if possible.

I have a 2002 vectra b 2.2 Sri dti.

On start up I have white smoke kick out but goes away after been running a minuit or so. Also I can rev the car up to 5000 revs easy in neutral but then after its been running a few minutes it won't get past 3000 revs.

I also sometimes have loss of power, car doesn't seem to rev any higher when foot is down, it like for some reason it won't gain any speed. Anybody had this problem or know of...

Hi guys
Anyone know if the auto headlight switch for the vec c fits a none auto light car?
I know the swich itself will but im asking about the plug/wireing
And yes i know the auto function wont work but i know enough about electrics to retro fit it
Just wanting to know if the plug will fit and if it wired the same?

hi my mate has a 2000 vectra b 1.8 and he said he was driving along and let off throttle and it died ,, he said that previous weeks he had putting foot on clutch at junctions and would either idle roughly or cut out could this be related thanks

Vectra B, T-reg, 99,400Mi X20XEV. EML comes on but car drives fine. EML goes out after restart.No other symptoms. If I get the codes read, will they still be there? or do I have to wait for the car to break-down?..."If it ain't broke we can't fix it, Sir"!!! I suspect an intermittent sensor, any ideas? Question is, can I expect any bombs because of mileage?

Model is: Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi 16v Elite 5dr

Car has FSH and only one advisory on last MOT which has been taken care of. Its in immaculate condition for the year.

Hope the question is not too vague, a mechanic I am not!

Hi All,

I have just purchased an '04 Vauxhall Vectra 2.2i Automatic Estate. Main reason for buying is that it had only done 77,000 miles and has a wealth of receipts for work done. It's in pretty good shape but my one gripe is that the look of the front of the car doesn't impress me.

I much prefer the later model of Vectra with the nicer lights and chunkier chrome on the grille, but couldn't afford one.

So... are there any modifications/improvements I can make to my new car to make it look...

Hi, 2011 Vauxhall Insignia 57,000 miles on the clock, about a week ago the engine management light came on, it has power for the first 2 minutes of driving then looses all power, the car struggles to build it's speed up. I took it to the garage as soon as it did this and they had a look on there computer and diagnosed it as the 'Mass flow sensor' they cleared the fault and about 15 minutes later it came on again. I have not got this changed yet but tomorrow I will be getting a genuine MAF...

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea with my Insignia braking problem that started around two weeks ago..

I first started to get some problems with my cruise control not working and then working again on the same journey - I first put this down to an electrical problems - but I think its now related to my brakes issue as I think the system detects that my brakes are on...

What's it like removing them to check the seals?

Hi all,

Can anybody advise me what to do please? My car is a 54 plate 1.9 cdti Vectra

4 nights ago I was taking a 30 min trip home at 10pm. A few minutes into the journey my battery light came on. Everything else was fine so I continued home. Once parked up, I lifted the bonnet to see the alternator belt was missing. I left it parked and wasn't able to get a new belt until Tuesday Morning. I fitted the belt which was surprisingly easy. Hi,

Since last Sunday I've been able to hear a fairly high pitched screeching sound on idle which seems to be coming from the alternator area.

It's seems to have improved a bit though but I can still hear it. No warning lights. Car starts and runs fine etc.

Worth getting checked out or wait until it breaks?

Hi, Does anyone know where the door control unit is located on a Signum (assume the Vectra C is the same). Drivers door central locking, electric mirror and electric window will not function, switch pack will still operate the passenger and rear windows and passenger door mirror. Have checked fuses etc but all okay. Crappy Haynes manual for Vectra C refers to the door control unit in the electrical diagrams but nowhere else in the whole book that I can see.
