Hi all, I have the V6 3.2 engine and need to replace the rocker gaskets. I haven't done this before and was wondering whether anyone had any hints/tips to offer.

So I have recently put some HID lights into my vectra c facelift.

the output is still shocking...

I have tried to adjust the lights but for some reason the passenger side one will NOT adjust up and down.. left and right works but up and down will not.

Can someone please tell me why or what I can do to sort it as it will fail its MOT with the state they are in at the min and its in the next couple of days!!

My vec has started making this ticking noise, like the tappets need adjusting and the turbo has become noticable in boost noise, as in you can hear it spin up with all windows closed.

is this normal for a car with 178000 on the clock ?

Hope someone here can help me out, got a little problem with my interior door handle.
Vectra C 2008 150 XP2
Got in the car this morning ( little bit cold ) everything seemed fine, went to get out of the car and as I pulled
the handle I heard a little " clunk " or " knock " , result = door handle didn't open drivers door.
I had to drop the window down and open it from the outside.

I stripped the interior door panel off and had a nose inside, the cable is still attached to the handle ( on the...

I've been loving the VO site for a while browsing online, but have never signed up. However now I've hit a problem that I've not seen on here, so have signed up and am asking this question. It's a familiar scenario, but with a twist.

Vectra C, 2.2 Diesel

My battery light has flashed up, steering wheel warning has flashed up, the dials have all dropped to zero, BUT I still have full power steering! WEIRD!!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

My wipers only work on fast setting and its hard to turn off cos soon as I drop down on the stalk they freeze a garage has told me its a part in the steering wheel and not the motor is this correct? Iv seen other posts on here about this issue with some saying it is and others saying its the motor. Dont want to pay 130 quid for motor if its not. If it is the steering wheel part how do I get at it and what does it look like?

I have a shiny new idle control stepper motor sat here. I previously purchased it on Ebay due to uneven idle revs. As I understand it, the stepper motor is controlled by the ECU to regulate air flow through the throttle body? Please correct me if I've misunderstool. Could / would this throw a P1070? In my mind that makes sense but it would be interesting to hear if someone else has seen this. The car has only done 70K, so surely not a blocked throttle body? It's gotta be worth a...

A few years ago I asked on here for radio code on my vectra and someone provided me a link to a radio code generator for the vectra c, however iv been looking all day on the forum and Google and cant find it anywhere. Keep finding posts of people saying its impossible and you have to pay dealer, this is not true as I have done it in past with the generator and it did work so I know it exists. Does anyone know where I can find it please.

Hi all,

My 2007 Vectra C Diesel estate auto (150 BHP) recently started being very jerkey and smokey!

When idle the revs drop then pick up quickly.

I cleaned the EGR valve about a year ago and i think i need to clean it again.

Maybe the throttle body? Anyone know how to take it off and clean it or any other solutions?

Here we go my car is a signum 1.9 running 200bhp 420 nm torque I have changed the clutch twice now in the last month first one spun the flywheel second one is slipping both times have been new flywheel and clutch kits can any one tell me if putting a 3.0 cdti clutch will work as the are the same diameter and have the same amount of splines but not sure on height of plate just thinking this clutch was built for more torque than the standard 1.9 clutch any suggestion would be great

i have a issue with my edition 100 Vectra.
Car has become smokey during idle. I stripped the inlet pipe off turbo and found small puddle of oil in front of the blades. Which happen to move in and out (forwards and back) about 2/3mm but no real up and down side to side.

Is it safe to assume as nothing else seems to be an issue I can find my turbo is in need of replacing?

hi guys Im new on here just bought a vectra and started having trouble when it gets warm its losses power and cuts out there is a spanner light what comes on the dash if I leave it half an hour it runs fine for 10-15mins can any one help me cheers

Hi folks, I am a newbie here so bear with me

Has ANY ONE of you EVER seen or heard anything like this before?

6 speed AF40 auto gearbox on my 2007 1.9 TDCI (150)

Car runs fine both auto as well as tiptronic for a week. Than BANG! goes into 2nd gear, EML on.

Shut engine off, restart, problem persist.
Shut engine off, restart and pull into tiptronic - YEY!- shows 1st ger and EML dissappears. Car is fine to drive in tiptronic: shifting up manually and down automatically.

Here is the funny...

I have read alot on these forums about sticking swirl flaps and how to check them so i was jus wondering..

How far shud the bar at the top of swirl flaps move?
Mine moves as if they are openin but its not alot of movement is this normal or not?

And also is there an option on op-com to test swirl flaps?

brief history if i may.....
new flywheel clutch crankshaft oil seal fitted dec 2015
m32 gearbox stripped and rebuilt...
now here comes my major issue........late dec had been having trouble with coolant leaking but no one could find out where, so i was topping up with water only....yes i know....grr was weaking antifreeze mix...
got up one morning heavy frost (-9) started car drove 5 miloes engine overheat light came on.. wasnt in red on gauge (110d)switched of straight away.....
however few...

hi all while my car is having another gearbox fitted I thought I change glow plugs and starting motor aswell and clean throttle body egr valve and i see that there is a lot off crud in the inlet manifold would it make much difference to the running if I took it off and cleaned it its only a 120 8 valve

Want to order some lowering springs for my 2.2 Sri, 35mm lowering kit in eurocarparts seems ideal, but one set says "front axle load up to 1000kg" and the other set says "front axle weight 1000kg+" do I go for the axle load up to 1000kg? For vectra c 2.2 petrol. Thanks.
