DPF Pressure sensor

So, returning home from work this evening. I get the sudden loss of power again, so I called the RAC out.

Verdict -DPF PRESSURE SENSOR

But... The pressure sensor was replaced about 2-3 weeks after I had a mobile DPF specialist out to the car.

The RAC mechanic was very thorough and helpful but couldn’t pin point why the pressure sensor threw the car into limp mode.

Any suggestions ?

hi guys,

Me again... could anybody show me in a picture or clearly guide me to my map/baro solenoid please. My Z19DTH is throwing up the typical pair of barometric pressure blah blah... I think it’s p1105 and p0115? Apologies if they are incorrect but you know the two I mean.
So I’ve removed the map sensor, cleaned it out(it was impacted with crap) and seem to have a marginally more responsive drive but the codes keep reappearing even after I wipe the codes which leaves me to believe the...

oil filter

Hello can anyone tell me

when changing the oil filter on my Insignia 2.8 V6 4x$ turbo (VX58 UMC) the housing that screws off holding the filter was on to tight and broke when unscrewing can I buy the screw on cover or do I have to replace the whole unit .

Hi I have a 2007 vectra 3.0 cdti it’s recently developed a problem, under hard acceleration when it gets to about 2000rpm it feels like someone pulls the handbrake on and then suddenly it will go again, at the same time you get a juddering the car with spanner light came on yesterday, had the codes read and it came back with p0093 and p1190 any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated I changed the fuel filter and it made no difference at all

Hello guys,

Got an '08 Vectra 1.9 CDTi station. But it won't start, unfortunately. It was running all ok during the morning hours, and in the afternoon, I did some cleaning in and outside, during which, the stereo was on, as well as the LCD, and had the electric trunk door opened a few times. So I thought that the battery went flat and tried jumpstartig it from another car, no success.

Steering wheel play

Hi all,

My good old faithful Calibra has started a steering wheel wobble when driving in potholes.
Have already changed several parts myself by decent brand ones (tie rods, tie rod ends, lower arms, balljoints, arb drop links...) but no good.

I had an alignment done recently and the guys at the shop reported steering wheel play.

Is there a way to tighten this up a little on a Calibra by adjusting the steering box?

Not sure if that will help me get rid off that somewhat 'looser' steering...

:) Hello everyone, sorry for my ENG ..... I need some help with my Vectra Im getting a U2112-71 code from op-com as an unknown code , that should be an ERROR in CDC but I dont know exactly which part of it , where should I look? what can be bad? Wiring looking o.k. ....Shock after replacement .... no abs or ESP fault... How can I measure or check the sensors wires or just find out where is the problem.....:(:(:( ????

Successful DPF passive regens

Hi guys.
Still learning in terms of the DPF regens. Fitted the retrofit led a few weeks ago as many of you may already know from previous posts. Since i’ve Fitted it every time it illuminates I just carry on driving.

1 question I do hope you lovely lot can answer, the Car had only been running for about 5 mins this evening, and still cool, is it normal for a regen to start when the engine has only been running for about 5 mins, 1 thing I noticed is the temp gauge shot upto optimum temp...

Vectra b, error code 0340 (cam sensor incorrect signal), missing 5V feed from ECU

On my Vectra B, 2.0i, engine type X20XEV, I have a permanent fault code 0340. It is complaining about cam sensor incorrect signal as soon as the car is started.
I did a resistance check on the sensor and found it faulty. It was then replaced it with a new modified sensor (Vauxhall/Hella) and an adapter. I was not happy with the wiring (3 core screened) from the sensor to ECU and hence this was also changed. All body earth cables cleaned. Resistance checks from sensor to ECU pins were fine...

I recently had to bring my Insignia into the dealership as it was in limp home mode. It was found that the problem was a sensor. I had the sensor replaced a few months back and within 1 month it went again with the dealership saying that they had put a faulty sensor in as the replacement. This was under warranty and was replaced as such. However this time i was asked to pay and upon stating the part had been replaced recenty and was under warranty i should not have to pay. so just driving home from work and message popped up saying “steering assist reduced, please drive carefully” wtf is that supposed to mean lol..

Only had this since December brand new and just problems after problems.

First the speakers and squeaking/rattling noise while music plays on the doors which they said “there’s nothing wrong with it” and now this.

I did go over a pothole on Saturday but nothing popped up then. So not sure if it is even related but steering does feel weird every...

HELP! Signum Z19DTH keeps cutting out,leaving me in the middle of the road,no electrics,hazzards ,lights and of course no brakes or PAS, When the electrics decide to come back on it will start and drive ok,until it does it again(can be 10min or after running fine for4-5 hrs???
Can anyone please point me in the right direction.
No codes showing.
Recantly had a good auto electrician fit and recode a SIM module(used)that seemed to be the problem,It has stopped the speedo going off,and cruise...

2015 Insignia Elite suspension

Hi

Just brought a 2015 2.0 Insignia Elite. The car drives well apart from very soft suspension. Going down a road with the lights on, the beam goes up and down. Also sometimes going round a corner the car sometimes feels as though it is bouncing. Is this normal it has 15000 miles on the car. First Insignia I have had

Hey was wondering if anyone had any advice I have a Vauxhall insignia 09 reg 1.8 petrol and recently started having a spot of bother. I was driving to work on the motorway and it came up error code 82 which I know is change the oil. Then came up the coolant error 3 I believe, was low I got too work and seen it was close too empty! So I topped up and drove home after work but just as I was getting home it came up error code 3,4 and 82 all at once. Checked the coolant and it had drank an awful...

Complete loss of boost after egr cooler replaced

Hi wondered if anyone could help,i had my egr cooler replaced by someone(a friend of a friend)the car kept going into limp mode when accelerating last 3000 revs especially when cold,but would return to normal when i restarted the engine.

I had the error codes read and had p0299 come up low boost preassure,then all of a sudden this weekend car has lost all boost and there is no vacuum when i take the top pip off the boost control valve.

Seems to have had problem after problem with the...

2010 Vauxhall Insignia

Car is turning over but won’t start? When the key is turned the car turns over and goes through the motions but is missing that final kick to actually start up and stay running.

Car is currently with a Vauxhall Dealership that cannot give me a definite answer as to why my car is not starting. I have asked repeatedly for my key to be checked and they have told me there is no point even testing the key as the car would do nothing if the key was the issue? i.e. it can’t...

Insignia Juddering and Traction Control light on

I was just wondering of any one could help, I have an insignia 2010 1.8 the traction control light has just come on and the car has started Juddering in low revs. Once it gets to 30mph all seems fine but the Tc and engine management light stays on. I read somewhere it might be the coilpack any help would be greatly appreciated.
