Headlight Bizarre .

Well , my drivers side dipped headlight has been known to need a new bulb or two since I have had it . Luckily that side is not to bad to get at as rather than take the bumper off you can just take the air cleaner off . Well last week it went out again . I got the cap off and fiddiled with it as somethimes that cab get it working again but not this time . Anyway as it goes the plugh unit that goes onto that back of the bulb has always been dodgy and as it goes I decided it was had it . See...

noise and water leak

Hi I have an Insignia 2.8 v6 4x4 turbo (2009) there is a noise and a water leak coming from the drivers side of the engine so I guess its the water pump is the water pump driven of the timing belt on this car, should I change the timing belt as well.

Its using water I have to top it up every 10 miles of so and it seems to be running hot as well but that's just a feeling as the temperature gauge has always read normal.

There is an engine warning light on yellow

Hi guys, my car is running like hell :( it’s displaying these two codes, could anyone tell me the severity of them and a ball park price of what I’m looking at just so I can go to a garage and at least pretend I know a little lol the two codes are P0203 P0303, Thankyou.

Hi all 2009 insignia 2.8 v6 turbo 4x4

can anyone advise a bit on changing the gearbox oil (its an Automatic Box) and the all wheel drive transmission oil systems is it a simple case of draining the oil and replacing it or are the seals and filters in there as well and how to reset the warnings coming up on the display.

Fitting fog lights to my car that didn't originally have them, but has the wires , how to fit ?

My previous car had fog lights and I often used them particularly on dark roads they made a massive difference.
My current car doesn't have fog lights fitted, however I looked behind plastic grilles on front bumper and the wires/connectors are already there for the fog lights.

SO I ended up making a 105 miles return journey yesterday to Buxton in the Peak District to get the lights. I have not fitted them yet as I am finding it difficult to see where they are supposed to sit and fasten...

Hi just want a bit help. i have just bought a insignia 160 exclusive and have a tappet type noise. you can not here it stood at the front of the car or under the bonnet, it sounds like when a lifter is not filled with oil type of noise. it is not really noisey but has me worried. i can only here it when i am stood at the side of the car. ie drivers wing side etc.
i was told these engines are really bad and destruct for some reason because of oil pressure or something. someone could explain....

hey guys I’m new to the forums and was wondering if anyone could help me out, I had a look to see if this was mentioned before but couldn’t see anything, my 2.2 vectra c Sri went into limp mode about a month ago, I plugged it into the diagnostics and it came back as a misfire on cylinder 4, so I replaced the plugs, the coil pack and the maf sensor but the car still has a slight misfire and goes into limp mode, if the car is turned off and back on after it’s out of limp mode but will not rev...

Hi all, when driving my 2011 2.0 cdti I get power loss when accelerating but not hard, I say loss, it just won't accelerate, engine doesn't 'die' just no kmph.

Please help if you can.
I have a 2011 Insignia 2.0L turbo diesel.
I have an intermittent coolant loss.
I can’t tell exactly where this leak is coming from but it appears to be from the cam belt area. The cam belt and water pump was done in May 17 around 8000 miles ago. The car has now done 93000. Rear wiper arm replacement

I have a stupid problem. Somebody vandalized my wiper arm so I've got a replacement from the scrappy. I lifted the plastic cover to reveal a fixing nut, which came off easily. As far as I can see, the arm is just a push fit onto the splined shaft that protrudes from the boot lid...but the broken arm WILL NOT come off! I've tried pulling quite hard until I'm concerned about damaging the seal on the boot lid, or the wiper motor. Is there a trick? Am I missing something?

My rad has given up the ghost. Doesn't seem to be a great selection on ebay. As it is such a pig to fit I want to fit a genuine Vauxhall one if possible, or a good aftermarket one.

There is friend who have build a calibra V6 inlet manifold with improved internals dimensions to help engine breath better. He's finding a foundry to built it up and soon it might be possible to have more details about it. Items are the upper dog-leg manifold and the middle section (where fitted rail and injector rail). Both have larger inner ducts (+14% flow tested on flow bench) and stock shape. It's an improved Mantzel version with dyno tested...

Vectra VXR honest opinions

I've been offered the chance to buy back a Vectra VXR that I used to own and sold around 4 years ago. I know the car has been with the same owner and he's spared no expense keeping it in mint condition.
It's remained standard throughout its life. But I'm considering buying it back and spending a bit of money on upgrading what's going on under the bonnet and the other running gear.
I didn't really want to sell it, but back then circumstances dictated. It's now an 11 year old car. Should I go...

MOT code; 2.4.G.2

Hi Guys,

Just picked up my car from MOT station and it passed but with 3 advisories. I would like (if possible) for you guys to give me a bit of advice.
Now the code is front nearside anti roll bar linkage has slight play in ball joint.
So I am using this car to learn how to repair, replace etc and was hoping to do this myself but I don’t know if the part is the tiny link bit or the longer bar with ball joints at each end facing opposite directions?

Hello my name is Jonathan.

I hope someone can help me. I own a 59 plate insignia. I currently can’t locate the source of a leak that’s leaving the drivers side passenger footwell and under the rear seat soaking wet.
The seat isn’t wet on top, so it’s getting under it somewhere and then I presume running down into the footwell. I have read various theories on the cause and have checked the vents behind the wheel arch, and poured water on and around water jet on the boot and wiper motor,...

first of hello all just signed up

Currently own a 2010 insignia been a good car so far.

One question currently fitted are 245/45/18 tyres is it possible to fit a higher profile tyre say a 245/55/18"?
